Overview

Anxiety is a mental health condition characterized by feelings of worry, fear, or unease, often regarding a situation or event with an uncertain outcome. It is a normal emotion that everyone experiences from time to time, and it can be helpful in motivating us to take action. However, when anxiety is prolonged and intense, it can interfere with our daily lives. Some common symptoms of anxiety include trouble sleeping, difficulty concentrating, physical fatigue, irritability, restlessness, muscle tension, and difficulty controlling worry. Anxiety is the most common mental health condition, affecting millions of people around the world. Treatments such as psychotherapy, lifestyle changes, mindfulness, medications, and cognitive-behavioral therapy can help manage anxiety symptoms and can improve a person's overall quality of life.
