Overview

Eating disorders are serious mental illnesses characterized by an unhealthy relationship with food and body weight. They can have severe health consequences, including physical and psychological problems, and can even be life-threatening. Eating disorders can affect people of all ages, genders, and backgrounds, and often require specialized treatment.
