Overview
Pancreatic diseases are a group of disorders that affect the pancreas, a gland in the upper abdomen that serves dual roles in the body. Its exocrine tissue produces digestive enzymes that help break down fats, proteins, and carbohydrates, while its endocrine cells secrete hormones such as insulin and glucagon that regulate blood sugar.
