Biography

Saoussen Chouchene is affiliated with the University of Monastir, where her research focuses on pharmacogenetics and clinical outcomes in transplant medicine. Her work examines the genetic determinants of drug response and adverse events in patient populations, with particular emphasis on immunosuppressive therapy. Her most-cited publication, "The pharmacogenetics of tacrolimus in renal transplant patients: association with tremors, new-onset diabetes and other clinical events" (2024), investigates the relationship between genetic variation and clinically significant complications in renal transplant recipients receiving tacrolimus. Her contributions advance the understanding of personalized medicine approaches in transplantation and the optimization of therapeutic regimens based on pharmacogenetic profiles.
