Overview
Sustainability is a concept that seeks to maintain and even improve the quality of life for humans and the environment now, and for future generations. It seeks to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. This is accomplished by maintaining balance between social, economic, and ecological stability. Sustainable practices are used in many aspects of life, such as agriculture, energy, waste management, and water resources. Companies are also beginning to incorporate sustainability into their practices to reduce their environmental footprint and increase their efficiency. This helps to ensure that businesses can continue to operate in the face of an increasingly changing climate.
