Biography

Dr John Kaiser Calautit is an Assistant Professor at the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom, specializing in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), wind tunnel testing, sustainable technologies, building engineering, and passive cooling. He received his Mechanical Engineering (Class I) honours degree from Heriot-Watt University in 2010 and his PhD from the University of Leeds in 2013, and has previously held full-time academic positions at the University of Leeds and the University of Sheffield. With over 48 indexed publications, his research output includes peer-reviewed articles in leading journals such as Applied Energy, Building and Environment, Energy and Buildings, Renewable Energy, and the Journal of Wind Engineering & Industrial Aerodynamics; his most-cited work, "A review of artificial neural network models for ambient air pollution prediction" (2019), has received 395 citations. Dr Calautit serves as Deputy Editor of Engineering Sustainability (Institution of Civil Engineers) and Associate Editor of Innovative Infrastructure Solutions (Springer), and is a member of the editorial boards of numerous international journals while regularly reviewing for top-tier publications in energy, building science, and sustainability.
